Ok you all know the obvious right? The lighthouse, sunsets and surfing at The Pass, the famous Wategoes, but we have hand-picked a few of our favourite haunts and jaunts around this paradise for your enjoyment. There are plenty more.

If you need a break from the endless ocean meets perfect beaches, then a trip into the hills is for you. Visit one of the many waterfalls of the region and explore the farms of produce, coffee plantations, cute road-side fruit stalls and beautiful, lush hinterland.

If food is your fancy, Harvest Café and Deli in Newrybar is the perfect stopover. Or Mavis’s Kitchen nestled in the foothills of Mt Warning (Indigenous name- Wollumbin, meaning cloud gatherer). All the produce used in the kitchen of both establishments is either grown in their gardens or sourced locally.

On the subject of food, there are plenty of innovative café’s and restaurants sprinkled around town too. The Roadhouse, Folk Kiosk, TopShop and the locals hangout for cocktails and wood-fired pizza at The Treehouse, which supports great live music.

Maybe shopping is your thing? Byron is blessed with some of the best local labels that capture that laid-back yet stylish feel of Byron Bay. Visit the Arts and Industrial area to find Goddess of Babylon, Amilita (now in town also), Rowie Designs, Tiganilux and Hendrix and Harlow. In town there’s Nami (featuring many local designers), Mimosa and Phyllis Boho, Hope and May, Myee Carlyle and lots more at the markets.
